Zelma, Office Manager
I was born in Oregon, raised in Oklahoma, then moved to California. When my two sons started to school I decided to look for " a job". That job turned into my lifelong career. I have worked with 7 different Chiropractic doctors over the last 38 years.
My main focus is on Insurance billing and problems, as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable. But I'll jump in and schedule you an appointment any time I see you waiting at the front counter.
I believe Chiropractic has given me the best possible life I could have and I am so thankful to be healthy and feel good.
I feel so blessed to have this Chiropractic "family" to love and help me through my difficult times, and share my joys.

I moved to Amador County in 1988. I joined the Amador Chiropractic Wellness Center Team in 1993. I suffered from chronic upper respiratory issues, intestinal problems and poor posture and back pain due to mild scoliosis in my spine. I learned how the nervous system runs everything in the body. I began regular adjustments and learned how to better nourish my mind and body. I continue with weekly adjustments and I have never been healthier. I believe every human being and our beloved animals can benefit from chiropractic.
My main role in the center is working with new clients as they come into our office. I perform exams, which include muscle, nerve and foot scans. I love making clients feel at home in our center and try to make it a great experience while they're here. Continuing education is a big part of our wellness center, for the doctors as well us the CA's. I have completed my Chiropractic Assistant certification through the Master's Circle and Life Chiropractic College West. I also have my basic Massage Therapy certification.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband Robert and our goofy Rottweiler, Butch. I also volunteer many hours as a committee member for the Amador County Friends of the NRA.

In February of 2001 Amador Chiropractic Wellness Center (ACWC) ran an ad in the paper for a CA. I had worked 3 years for a vascular surgeon in the past, but had no knowledge of chiropractic or your nervous system. I was very nervous and anxious about what my duties could possibly be, but I applied anyway. I was called for an interview, and in March started to work here. To my surprise, a chiropractor has many tasks they need assistance with and my days are very busy and filled with fun.
I could not have a better career for me, they have truly become my family and I continue to gain knowledge daily while serving my community. I enjoy each and every client that we serve. March 2009 marked my 8 year anniversary with ACWC and I am a healthier and happier person because of them!
